At a time when we were searching for a second home in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, we contacted Ozzie Gray regarding one of his listings. Little did we know that over the next seven years Ozzie would become our reliable “go to” person for several real estate transactions. He facilitated the purchase of our first home in the Outer Banks which we eventually converted to a rental property. Ozzie took over as property manager for that home, securing tenants, arranging any needed repairs and inspecting the property. It was great having confidence in someone to do this since we were 700 miles away.
We were then interested in a waterfront lot that Ozzie had shown to us, but the required setback from the water precluded us from being able to build the home that we wanted. Several months later, Ozzie contacted us with the news that the distance of the setback had been reduced (he never took credit for this, but we always suspected he had something to do with it) and we would be able to build the house that we wanted on this lot. Ozzie got us a reduced purchase price on this property.
Next, we needed a builder. Once again, we contacted Ozzie Gray and he referred us to what turned out to be the best builder we have ever used to build a home. Unfortunately, several years later and due to health problems, it became necessary to sell this property. Once again, Ozzie came to the rescue and we were able to sell the property in a relatively short time. During the time the property was listed, Ozzie made regular inspections of the property and was present at all showings. He handled the entire process of the sale and the closing since we were again 700 miles away. Needless to say, at this point, Ozzie Gray became more than our realtor. He became our friend.
Ozzie Gray's experience and diligence was essential to a successful closing on a business property. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the property, and communicated with us during the entire process. Even though the sellers were out of town we always had an expedited response and a follow up call to ensure the process was going smoothly. We highly recommend him for all real estate sales and purchase both residential and commercial!
It is hard for me to say enough about Ozzie Gray as a Real Estate Broker. He stepped up to assist me in the sale of my home during a time when the market value of the home was below the payoff on my mortgage. Ozzie found tenants whose rent payments helped tremendously with my monthly mortgage payments for two years. When the tenants moved out, he cleaned the home and property hauling away a truckload of trash. He then listed my home for sale at the top end of its potential market value and shortly received an offer. The offer was contingent upon replacing the front storm door and repairing the privacy fence along one side. Ozzie went to the local building supply company, picked up a storm door, installed it, and, with the help of a friend, repaired the fence. His actions and assistance went above and beyond any experience I have ever had with a Real Estate Professional.

Several years ago, I started looking for a property to buy in Currituck, NC. At that time, I was basically just putting out feelers to see what was available. I spoke with several realtors including Paul Tilley. In the end, I did not end up buying property at that time.
Last year I began my search again! I still had Paul's contact information as he had been so helpful in the past. When I called him, I was pleasantly surprised that he remembered who I was and what I was looking for.
Long story short, thanks to Paul, I found what I was looking for and in Oct 2016 I happily closed on my lots. 6 months later, thanks to Paul's diligence and negotiations, I closed on the adjoining 2 lots!
I would highly recommend Paul Tilley if you are looking for a realtor that:
~ Will listen to what you are looking for!
~ Will be only a phone call or text away from answering any question you have.
~ Will work tirelessly at negotiating for you from beginning to end.
